In the late 60s, civil rights leaders and Japanese Americans joined forces to repeal the Emergency Detention Act, a law that could have rounded up Black activists in concentration camps.

The May 19th Project is a newly formed collective launching a social media and video campaign to promote solidarity within Asian and Pacific Islander communities and with all communities. 

During this urgent time of division, #SolidarityIs/SEE US UNITE is a social media campaign that celebrates the resilience and power of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders coming together.
